DisIllusioned

Been a week since I did any form of exercise.
Needless to say, cycling is my choice of exercise on a Sunday morning.
Knowing that there is no morning train today, I decided to do a solo ride.

Along Mandai Road, I think I am flying.
Maybe it is the new set of wheels or maybe it is just the fresh legs which has not done 1 week of training.
After Mandai Shell, I am feeling very discouraged.
I cannot sustain the speed that I had done before and it is a mere 10km only. What happen?!?!

It is turning out to be a disaster!
I need to cycling for 90km and still have enough energy to run 21km, but a week of rest have brought my energy level down so badly.

What happen if I cannot train before the race?
I literally struggle the rest of the distance home and decided against going for another round of 20km. =(

Used the low speed to test my aero bars.
My confidence is nil. I cannot even get my right hand onto the aerobar position.
The fear of losing control of the brakes just set alarms buzzing off in my head!

Tried the drop bars. Again, the fear of not able to reach the brakes allows me only seconds in the drop bar position.

Probably need to wear running shoes and tried those aerobars and drop bar positions again before the BIG race.

Oh... the Continental tires really works as they are advertised to do.
I feel less rolling resistance. (My old tires tends to stick to the ground a lot!)
Steering is very slick! Have to get used to it.
Just a slight wrist movement will take you on your intended path.
(Meaning to say, you have to be careful out if you are riding with one hand, cos it is VERY easy to lose control.)
