The biggest event on Jodan's race calendar is gonna happen in 7 weeks' time and I am nowhere near prepared for it.
I know my greatest obstacle now is my nutrition plan.
113km is a long distance and my Olympic Distance diet just won't sustain the distance.
I have to start getting serious about Energy Drinks and PowerGels.
Ok... now to tackle the race section by section.
Swim... Having gone through 5 Olympic Distance swims, I know how I should fare.
I should be able to make the cut off time of 1hour 10minutes.
Bike... Targetting 3hrs and 30mins for the entire cycling leg.
But to achieve this target, it will mean a lot of hard work for the next 7 weeks.
A lot of long rides.
After the century ride, I know that extra 10km makes a whole lot of difference.
(Looks like my comfort zone for bike is 75km and run is 13km. Maybe it is psychological, but I have yet to breach both barriers!)
The aim is to complete the swim and bike as fast as possible and still have a good pair of legs to do the run.
Targetted a 3:30hr run based on my two 21km timing. (3:15hr and 2:55hr).
