Haha, I redeem myself today.
Owing to a tight schedule, I can only do a quick 20km.
Out to Mandai Shell and back.
First 3km is pure torture.
The upslopes feel like Mount Faber slopes.
Am so glad that I won't be facing Bintan type of bike course for City Duathlon. :)
As the legs get warmed up, things got better.
The weather is pretty hot.
Drained an entire bottle of water at Mandai Shell before turning back.
Crossing the Mandai-Yishun junction, an Army LandRover started riding alongside me on the 2nd lane.
Haha, knowing that he cannot accelerate beyond 50km/h, I decided to outrun the LandRover.
I spinned faster and left the LandRover smelling smoke... Haha, cheap thrill :D
Somehow, I know I can spin a lot faster but decided to leave it at that.
Took a look at my cyclometer. Maximum Speed 53km/h !
Previous top speed was 50.6km/h on the same stretch of road.
Reached home in good time for lunch and homemaking. :)
