Am I happy?
This question keeps playing in my mind since City Duathlon.
I tried to be angry that my first Full Distance Duathlon Bike Leg has been cut short, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't.
In fact, I enjoyed the race. :p
The only grouse of the race is the lame excuse by the Race Director.
Oh well, live and let live...
In fact, I felt so blessed that since Race Day No. 1, all my races had been done in favourable conditions.
Even the infamous Bintan Triathlon held back its storm clouds till I am on my run leg before it starts to pour. :)
I guess happiness is to accept what you have and enjoy the moment.
I think after that ending the 13 years journey lightens the burden for me. I guess I am just not as lucky as others in that aspect.
While I do admire how the others can go for overseas races or travel the world, it does not really bother me that much.
I have a 30 years plan to go on a world tour with my beloved. :)
While I do admire people earning and spending money as if they own a bottomless pot of gold, does money really buy happiness?
To be happiness is something that money cannot buy.
Coming home to a lively home is happiness to me.
I love seeing my girls play together and enjoying themselves.
I enjoy putting my girls to sleep at night, even though that means that I could no longer go for group runs and gatherings.
To be able to do races is happiness to me.
And for this, I really need to thank my family for all the support these few years.
To be able to ride every Saturday, to be standing on the race start line racing with my friends is happiness to me.
So am I happy?
Of course, I wish things could have been much better.
But I do realise that we have to appreciate what we have right now and not let the precious moments slip away.
It is always those little thoughts that made this world a better place to live in. :)

agree! treasure is not pots of gold or silver. it can be found in the little-st of things around us. the sun peeking into the room through the blinds, the glistening of the rain on the leaves, lying on the grass watching the kids run & laugh wildly =)
