Before I went to sleep, I let my computer updates itself with Windows Patches and restarts itself.
When I woke up , there was a Nanyang Polytechnic home page open on my computer.
This is un-nerving. It looks like a calling card from whoever has access my system.
A quick check on my wireless settings on the Broadband modem shows that the attached computers has all been erased!!!
I quickly call Singnet Technicial Helpdesk and was told that its modem does not maintain logs of which computers access the network. WTH!!!
Right now, I definitely need to tighten up my already secured wireless settings.
Actually I have always been paranoid about wireless and this case just add on to my paranoia.
I used to use MAC address to control connections, but since I got this Singnet Broadband 6 months ago, I did not do it as it has the most unfriendly GUI that I have come across.
Compared to the Starhub Motorola modem, its setup is more like for kids. Haiz....
