You cannot stop believing that it is fate.
After the bike accident last month, I still thought I have a chance in training for OSIM Triathlon.
What a twist of events it has been ever since.
Just when I intend to start training, I have this mysterious back pain.
I do have it once in a blue moon. But it normally goes away after a day or two.
This time round, it turns serious. The back pain never goes away.
Till today, I am still having this dull back pain, but it is fading off.
High fever came along. It got everyone scared as the temperature just keep rising with no indication that it is going to subside.
Tried to monitor myself during the night to see if I need to go A&E. Was pretty lucky that I start perspiring during the night and the temperature came down.
After resting for a few days, I cannot wait to take my Cervelo out for its maiden ride.
But every morning and evening, it has to rain and rain hard it did.
Day after day, I just wait for the perfect opportunity to come.
It never does.
Monday came. I had brought out my swim gear to take a dip in the pool if it does not rain in the evening.
Yeah, I got my wish and manage to complete 14 laps before the back pain sets in.
Tuesday, another good day to exercise.
Intended to go to Novena Velocity for the Tuesday Runs, but I did not bring my running gear due to unforeseen circumstances.
First thing I intend to do when I reach home is to bring my Cervelo out for its maiden ride.
A friend called and mentioned that he hope to drop by my place for a visit.
After he left, I had my dinner.
After resting for around 1.5 hours, the weather still stays fine.
Good... I can finally take Cervelo out on it maiden ride.
Took the Yishun main road all the way up to Sun Plaza and did a loop back home from there.
Legs are still feeling fresh, so I thought why not see if Roonz wanted to go for a ride.
Reached her block and gave her a call. She did not pick up her call.
Re-hydrate myself and continue on my way home.
Turning left out of the car park, I will be able to bike for a longer distance and on quieter roads.
Thus I opt for that option.
Not long after, I meet with the bike accident which put me out of OSIM Triathlon 2007 for good.
How can I not believe in fate when everything is laid out so clearly for everyone to see.
