Now I finally understand how the others felt when they are down with injuries.
To one that isn't interested in sports, it may not irritate them.
But to a novice like me, to be taken away from the sports that I have just started to enjoy, it is really bad. To add to injuries, with the races are just round the corner, it really hurts bad.
I intend to take painkillers and just do a slow race if it really comes to that.

Your back pain seems to be taking a long time to heal. Have you seen a doctor and get a x-ray done? If yes, and there is nothing wrong, I suggest you go see a chiro or an osteopath. They are very good at this type of injury.
If it is painful, don't do any thing like exercises, stretching to make it worse unless it is under the guidance of a physio or medical personnel.
