Slowly prep for the ride.
Sat at the sofa and doze off.
Very reluctant to ride.
An incoming SMS "Have a safe ride" and I am out of the house. =p
5:19am - Mandai-Sembawang traffic junction.
No way I am going to catch up with the group.
Today will be a solo ride.
Was surprised when I caught sight of the rear of the group just after Old Mandai Road!
Pushing the pace up a notch, I managed to overtake quite a number of riders when I reached Mandai Shell.
The group are waiting for the last rider to come in.
Chat with Kam Meng about his new weaponry before it was time to proceed.
There are only 5 riders turning left.
Lead change hands multiple times before I turn on the turbo boosters along Bukit Timah Road.
Spinning along at 44kmh, I was surprised to see the shadow of another rider taking my draft.
How did he do that???
Getting tired after 2km, we switched positions and rode at 38kmh till the end of Bukit Timah Road.
Taking the longer route through Newton, I felt the need to take a break along Marymount Road.
These sprints are tiring.
5 mins later, a pair of refreshed legs took me home. =)
