Met Eugene at 5am and we rode down to Mandai Shell together.
Legs are feeling much better today.
Alas, I started losing Eugene on the very first slope...
Argh...
I feel that I am pedalling much harder than I did yesterday, but Eugene just keep pulling away.
The ride from Mandai Hill Camp to Mandai Shell, I felt refreshed with the cool breeze blowing in my face.
A check with my log... Average speed 33.5 kmh???
Hmm....I thought I was going much faster than that...
All my preception of speed is way off course today.
Had a good rest while waiting for the train to roll in.
When the train roll in, my blood ran cold.
All the big names were here.
Stefano, Christina, Ivo...
Today will be no easy ride...
Rolling off, I was surprised by the change in plan.
No Kranji Ride today!!!
Hehe... this is a real bonus for me...
It wasn't long before we lost sight of the front pack.
In fact, the front pack have a different agenda.
It does looks like they did a detour to the secret training ground.
There wasn't much drafting today.
Most of the riders were way ahead of us.
Onto West Coast Flyover, I thought I could hang on to Eugene's draft.
All for 500m, I think... =S
The legs are there, but the acceleration is missing...
In fact, the fastest kilometer I could muster for today's ride is a miserly 39kmh.
The magical 4 has deserted me this morning.
Reached Fuji Xerox Towers feeling slightly drained.
Got to meet Chris, Joyce's partner for this Sunday TTT.
While they adjourned to the Juice Bar, Eugene and I rode home.
Along the way, Eugene gave me a choice... Thomson or AMK...
Hehe... gimme a choice... u know which I would choose.
A check with my watch reminded me that I need to rush off for work.
Haha... I think I had too much fun these two days that I totally forgot that I gotta rush home to prep for work. =D
Nice ride, Eugene.
Thanks!
