You passed 300 runners and 42 passed you.
Time registered on my watch : 2h 53m 53s
I lost an entire minute due to the auto-pause function.
Have dis-abled the auto-pause function now. =)
Previous Best : 2h 55m 42s
So that is definitely a PB for me. =D
It is kinda strange how the race turns out for me.
I started the race hoping that I won't do a PW.
Reason is simple.
I wish to say that I did little running training for the race.
But the truth is that I did NO running training for this race!!!
To make matters worse, I did not even ride a week prior to the race.
The only ride I did was the day before the race!!!
All these incidents are very new to me.
So expecting a PW is a reality.
This race turns out better than I thought.
I din walk much during the race.
10km timing was a real surprise for me.
Having done a 1:29 for OSIM triathlon recently, which is far from my usual 1:20 for 10km (pure running or multi-sports), I was not expecting the SB at all... =)
Experiencing the near puncture during the cursed 13km, SB was far from my mind for 15km.
But when I saw the timing during 14km , I got all excited.
I never recall doing sub-2 for 15km, so this is a real treat.
Having gotten better than expected timing so far, I was contented to complete the race within 3 hours.
It wasn't till the last 1.5km that I started to plan for a PB. =)
The last 400m was the toughest, but it is always the most exciting part of my race.
I think I will have to eat my own words.
I will probably will sign up for 21km runs next year.
It is definitely a more comfortable distance than 10km and 42km.
