After Singapore Biathlon, my legs are still feeling fine, thus I proceed to MacRitchie to test out the Newton Running Shoes.
There were just a handful of runners and Team Runfanatics.
Where are all the runners on a beautiful Sunday?
There wasn't any stability shoes for my size, thus I decided to test the Newton Cushion Racers.
First thing I notice about the shoes is the toe box and the open weave mesh upper.
The wide toe box made it really comfortable for my wide feet. :)
The mesh makes the shoes extremely breathable.
The sockliner provides a snug feel to the feet.
When I started running with the shoes, I can immediately feel the external actuator lugs.
Must admit that it take a while to get use to the shoes.
The shoes constantly reminds me about my running form.
Once you get used to the shoes, you can feel the actuator lugs working its magic.
I feel less fatigue during the run.
In fact, I could talk normally running alongside Tricia who is sweeping me.
Thanks, Tricia. :)
Eddie and Peng Kah came running along.
Eddie gave me quite a lot of useful tips. Thanks, Eddie.
With the omni presence of the actuator lugs, walking is a weird experience.
I manage to complete my 8km by adjusting my running cadence and taking smaller strides.
Runners who knows me will understand that it is quite a feat for Jodan. :)
Saw a lady wearing the SubUrban Run singlet. Looks pretty nice.
Understand from the forum that they are selling the singlet for $16 a piece.
Had wanted to go for the 2nd lap, but that means the KPI guys will have to wait for a pretty long time.
Decided to just treat this as a recovery run. :)
Good decision as I found out later in the evening, that I had a little blister at the ball of my foot.
One more lap may mean an end to Tribob Duathlon this weekend. :p
Proceed to Botanical Gardens to have brekkie with the JoyRiders folks before proceeding home. :)
