Half Marathon - You Can Do It by Jeff Galloway

I learn so much from just one book.
All the chim terms that I have seen in SGRunners forum were explained so simply in the book.

Fartlek
Cadence drills
Endorphin

Thump thump thump means I have too much bounce in my strides.
I may be lifting my knees too high.
The results are stated by the book looks correct.
It will result in tired quadriceps which I am experiencing.
Other than that , I am fine.

Problems with hamstrings , knee pain, behind the knee pain are mostly associated with long strides.

The very last chapter talks about his dad.
Who started running by aiming for the next telephone pole.

Hehe, it brings back the memories of my remedial training days.
Somehow I never hate remedial training.
I have to admit I was lazy and do not like to exercise. Especially after I gain weight.
So during remedial training, I always try to redeem myself.
First few years were pretty uneventful. It is more of going through motion.
But in the later years, I started to like running during remedial training.
Every session, I am aiming for the next tree which I will start walking.
When I reach that tree, I think I can continue, so I will run to the next tree.
Before I know it, I finished a lap of 2km without walking.
Then 2 laps and subsequently 3 laps.
