For the first time ever, my non-running neighbours are asking me about my race (Full Marathon).
Sad to say that my first-ever race reply to them is "I did not start".
===
Twice this week, I had been asked by fellow runners why I am attempting the Full Marathon?
This is the question I have been asking myself occasionally too.
I am comfortable with 21km, but the idea of 42.195km freaks me out at times.
Nonetheless, I did my first attempt last year during MR25 Ultra-Marathon, only to falter after 32km due to cramps.
These 2 years I have learnt so much that I think I can complete a marathon comfortably.
Having done most of my races comfortably this year, it was not difficult for me to click on the "Full Marathon" tab when the SCSM Registration starts.
What I have not count on is how much life will change after Sean is born.
My running plans got thrown into chaos.
Even without running, I was not dishearten, I still believe that I could complete the race, even if I have to walk pretty much of the distance. Just that 42.195km is a long distance to walk.
Take it as a prelude to my "Let's Take A Walk" 50km Power Walk lor.
Unfortunately, the marathon was not meant to be.
So do I wanna really wanna do a marathon?
Haha, I think I will do anything for a Finisher's tee.
====
I had a dream.
I dreamt that I weigh 70kg and completed a 3:34hr marathon. Haha...
The images are so vivid that I believe that it is true. =)
