Stella is ill and I need to be in the office today....
Took her to see doc at 8.00am, but doc only opens at 9am on Saturday... Argh....
Dropped wife and kids at the clinic and went to work, only to be told that migration cannot commence for the next few hours!
From his tone, he is expecting me to go home and be back a few hours later. Siao!
Two days in a row, I had to change my plans, all because of project delays.
But twice, the project manager din bother to update me till I called to check when the migration can take place.
It is frustrating that I had to cancel my leave to come back for the migration, but at least he should have the courtesy of letting me know when the project is going to be delayed.
Work ended at 6pm and I proceeded to Novena Square to collect the race packs.
Bought something that I had been contemplating buying for a long time.
Stella's fever kept coming back every 3 hours.
We were worried that we decided to bring her to see a 24-hour doctor.
Was very disappointed with the clinic though.
A houseman is charging us $98.50 for a bottle of Ibuprofen. :/
Came home at 1.30 am and put Stella to sleep.
Although I am totally shagged out, I still proceed to catch the Ironman race before dozing off in front of the computer.
Haiz, me and my Kona dream.... Haha...
Woke up at 7am to continue my race tracking.
2 hours later, Craig Alexander crosses the Finish Line.
I love the guy cos he is so humble.
He is ex-Ironman 70.3 World Champion and there is no air about him.
He was charging up the field during the run and did a 2:45:00 marathon time!
Have to wait for another hour before Chrissie Wellington crosses the Finish Line.
This lady is simply amazing.
5 Ironman races, 5 wins. 2 of them are Ironman Hawaii Kona to boot!!!
According to commentators, if she did not have a flat during the bike leg, the course record would have been hers!
Yvonne Van Vlerken, the current world record holder for the woman's Ironman Distance was still 2 miles away when Chrissie finishes!
Sandra Wallenhorst, who also broke the world record this year, came in a close third.
The women's races in recent years has really changed.
We have a lot of good women triathletes who are really pushing each other real hard.
Both Chrissie and Sandra even manage to do sub-3 marathons!
