Sneaking Out

Woke up at 3am. Could not sleep.
Surf Trifam. Wow, so much sales going on.
Ppl are definitely selling bikes and tri-stuff after Aviva Ironman Singapore 70.3.

Took me a while to scan through both the SGRunners and Trifam forums.

Tried to go back to sleep, but with the aching shoulders which has been bothering me for the past 3 days, I decided to go for a run.
Yes, I am finally able to sneak out without Shannon or Stella waking up. =)

I am pretty good at wasting time, cos it is 5am when I finally got out of the house. =D
Okay, not really true. A good 30 minutes is spend monitoring the kids to make sure that they do not wake up.

Start the run at a good pace.
The breathing is fine, not laborious at all.
Contemplate running in Yishun Community Park, but I know I will quit after a few rounds, so I shall do Yishun Ring Road today.

Haha, Yishun is really happening now!
NorthPoint 2 is opening soon and Khatib's Sheng Siong is robbing NTUC of its customers since it open its doors 2 weeks ago.
Even Botak Jones decide to set up shop here.

No longer does Yishuners need to travel far to satisfy their taste buds or grocery needs.

One click in, and I am pretty certain that this will be my last pair of Kayanos.
The heels are just too heavy and it causes some strain on the ankles.

DS trainers and triathlon shoes will be on the shopping lists in the future.

While running, my future keeps playing in my mind.
My boss has just thrown my a lifeline.
But whether the line is strong enough to pull me back to shore, we have yet to see.
I am hoping for the best right now.

This run is satisfying in the sense that I do not keep thinking "I HATE RUNNING" which is what I keep telling myself during the last 2 runs. (AHM and KPE Run)

But I will probably eases off pure running events in 2009 while I concentrate on biathlons, duathlons and triathlons.
Somehow I prefer multi-discipline races more than just running.

Complete 6.6km in under 1 hour.
Nothing to be proud of, just glad that I break my exercising drought.

bro,

doesn`t all those events you mention, ended off with running?

better keep those shoes in check and get more running done. it actually does not take up much time than swim and bike.

1 hour of run, can do much more than you expected from biking.

cheers

Strangely, I do not mind having runs after swim and/or bike.
But I also feel very demoralised doing pure running.

Probably cos I am stronger in swim and bike, so I do not always end up at the rear of the pack right from the gun start.
