Chat with an elderly uncle wearing a pair of Ascot trainers while waiting for the lift.
Din know that Ascot shoes are still available in Singapore. They can be found at Mustafa.
Uncle Louis envy us cos we can hug and cuddle our kids, while he can only view his grandsons through the webcam.
His two sons have migrated with their families to Australia.
One can feel the sadness when he spoke those words.

Dun usually like to name my complaints, but TMC Paediatric Centre really got onto my nerves.
During my last visit back in June, we ask the paediatrician about Stella's blood test and he looked at us puzzlingly.
He should have scheduled Stella for a blood test a few days earlier so that he could review the results while giving Stella her last jab.
Nonetheless, he told us to pick up the Laboratory Test Form 2 months later at our convenience.
When I requested to collect the Lab Test Form last Friday, the nurse mentioned that I need to see the paediatrician.
I told her that I just wanted to collect the Lab Test Form.
She insisted that I need to see the doctor as Stella is due to have her pneumococcal vaccination.
I told her that Stella's jab is not due for another 3 months.
She took a look at Stella Health Booklet and give me a sheepish look.
But she still insist that I see the doctor first!!!
I asked her why I need to see the doctor before the blood test can be performed by the hospital?
She just say that without seeing the doctor, she cannot given me the Lab Test Form?!?!
That got me fuming mad, but instead of arguing with her.
I decided to see if I can a senior nurse to speak to.
The senior nurse instructed the nurse to check with the doctor (after I voiced my frustration) and they promptly issue me the Lab Test Form.
I DO NOT need the doctor to tell me that my daughter is fine.
This is normally how the conversation goes.
D : How's the baby?
J : The baby is fine.
D : Ok, good. The baby is fine. (Thank you very much, that is $50 for consultation.)
If you think that is the last of what we see of TMC Paediatric Centre.
Too bad... I still need to bring Sean back for review on Wednesday, cos the paediatrician happens to be the same doctor.
Handing to the nurse Sean's Health Booklet, we were told to take a seat.
After about 10 mins, they took Sean's weight and walked away.
We asked the nurse why Sean's height and head circumference are not taken and the nurse promptly asked us what is Sean's height and head circumference?!?!
Grr... what is happening here?
About another 10 mins later, we are still not issued with a queue number, so we proceed to ask the counter for our queue number.
The nurse (in a rude tone) : "Haven't I give it to you?"
(Thank you very much TMC Paediatric Centre, you have lose a customer.)
I did a rough count. There are 8 nurses attending to 3 paediatricians.
So what went wrong?
