Lost

Have not run for 10 days.
Even my watch is looking down on me. =(
It could not lock on to the GPS Satellites even though I am standing in the open for 15 minutes. (This has never happen before)
I guess this happens if you have switch off the watch for too long.

Got ticked off by Highbury yesterday. He reminded me that SCSM is just 2 weeks away.
By keeping my engines cold for too long, it will only hurt me more.
Have committed to Roonz that I will aim for a better timing, so that we can celebrate our SCSM with makan-thon. =)
So I better start up those engines.

Not getting my visa for Run-A-Movie, I still intend to go for a run.
Thus I aim to do a quick neighbourhood run and be back early.

Plan was to run to Simpang Kiri Park Connector and back. This should be about 10km.

The run up to Simpang Kiri Park Connector entrance was good.
Everything was feeling fine up till now.
Along the way, I cross path with Carine.

Enter Simpang Kiri Park Connector, the sun was out in full force.

Was out of the house in a hurry, I forgotten my Cho-Pat and Cap.
Now the sun is eating me alive and I am defend-less.

It got so hot that I start to run bare-bodied.
Must say that it is shiok to run bare-bodied, but somehow it attracted a couple of stares.

I ran so slowly till it become more of an excursion than a run.

Instead of U-turning at the end of Simpang Kiri Park Connector, I proceeded onto Sembawang Park. The beach portion of Sembawang Park is so short, it does not give you the same East Coast Park feeling.

Having missed out of the fun portion of the run during Good Friday Run, I decided to explore the places today.
Proceed onto Gibraltar Crescent where there are a lot of colonial houses.
Wow, I was awed by the houses. Hardly can see wooden houses without windows grilles anymore.
The more I ran, the more I realised that most of Sembawang Estate are left untouched. Probably cos Sembawang Wharves and Woodlands Industrial Estate is nearby, thus re-development of the Sembawang Estate into a residental area is not a sensible idea?

Coming out from King's Avenue, I got slightly dis-oriented.
I know that if I turn left, I would hit Sembawang Road, but I am gamed for the unknown.
Thus I turned right to continue my run.

It was a good 15 minutes later that I realised that I am lost........
I got no idea where the heck I am.
There are now 2 options available.
1) Continue till I hit a familiar landmark.
2) Trace back the route from where I come.

I know Sembawang ain't that big, but I never realise that I would ran till I do not know where I am.

Probably another 15 minutes later, I hit upon SAF Yacht Club.
Heng arh, now I know how to proceed.

Getting low on fuel, I stopped at the first kopitiam that I came across.
Had my fill before I proceed home by MRT. =)
