An observation which I had highlighted to my fellow riders ever since RAW Duathlon.
Muscle memory.
Something that Coach Blackie has iterated to me numerous times, but you gotta experience it to know it is there.
RAW Duathlon 40km ride.
My cadence on small cranks which I used extensively on training rides, pushed me through the distance at 30km/h.
I wasn't pushing throughout the ride (Saving my legs for the following 10km Run), so I was pleasantly surprised to find out my average pace after the race.
So yeah, train hard on improving your cadence.
Next objective for me right now is to maintain my cadence climbing slopes. =)
