Ramblings

I need to blog this to get it off my chest.

It really irks me recently whenever I turn on my indicator lights to filter lanes.
Everytime you switch on the indicator lights to show that you wanna change lanes, the car behind will speed up, preventing you from filtering.
(Now I can understand why some of my friends mentioned that they will never turn on their signal lights when filtering.)

But nothing beats this !@#$%^&* driver on Lentor Ave.
It was morning rush hour, so cars can only use 2 lanes, minus the bus lane.
I am on the left lane going toward SLE travelling behind a old Corolla going at 45km/h?!?!
It is morning rush hour, speed limit for this stretch of the road is 70km/h.... WTH is the guy thinking!!!
So once I had the chance, I overtook him on the right and signal my intention to filter back in again so that I can go onto the SLE slip road.
Surprisingly , the slow roach started to speed up. Before I know it, we were both going at 100km/h!!!
With the slip road fast approaching, I have no choice but to slow down.
Guess what? The !@#$%^& slow down as well...
I dropped to about 40km/h before I can filter into the lane behind his car....
Wonder what is wrong with the guy.....

Two forum ladies got on my nerves recently.

DarthMaul87 - Recently tagged as the "I Heard" Warrior by Ed_Styler83.
Whlist her intentions are kind, the way she put her words across, she really deserves a spanking.

I am already upset that I have signed up for RAW Duathlon, only to know that it is a no-frills race.
To me, $55 for a no-frills race is considered too expensive.
I won't have signed up for it if I had known about the no-frills portion.
But she has to include a lot of insensitive remarks to her replies...
And interestingly, she replied to every single one of my posts. =D

Sandy_Chua - Sandy, hope you are not reading this. I do not wanna pick up a fight with you at my blog.

Someone was wondering if Min-ting is a lady or a guy.
Going by the email thread... Min describe herself as petite and needs a XS (42-46cm) bike.
So I am really wondering why the guys have a problem determining her gender.

(Sentences are stated in similar terms, as I have deleted those emails, so I cannot quote the exact words)

Sandy responded "Yeah lor, Min is ambiguous. Unlike Sandy."

I responded to the thread by saying "I know of guys and gals known as Sandy"

Sandy responded "Yeah... Dan can be Daniel or Danielle, while Jo can be Joseph or Josephine."
(Point to note is that my email address is shown as Daniel. =S)
(Interestingly, Sandy managed to deduce that Jodan is made up of 2 separate names. Haha....)

In a separate thread, she talks about bikes and how a Giant OCR can overtake a Cervelo.
I know it is not directed at Cervelo riders, but does it makes any difference what bike one is riding?
It is the engine that counts okay!!!

(Hmm... I think I put the words across too nicely....=S Exact words sounds nastier.)

And the interesting part to the whole story?

Joyce and I will be leading the newbies this Saturday and she is interested to join.
Wonder what her intentions are? To overtake a Cervelo?

Cos of Kai, I am returning to my role of leading newbies. =)
This is meted out as punishment for turning a group tour into a personal tour. =S

I have the chance to review the candidates.
We evaluated Bryon and both of us agreed to reject him for the newbies ride.
He is over-qualifed.
His introductory story sounds pretty similar to Chrissie. =D
Having not ridden a bike for 6 years, it is his first ride last Saturday.
And he did a Tour de Singapore in 10 hours, 8 hours spend on the saddle!!!
Definitely not a newbie....

And he uses the terms "sit bones" "feather the brakes"....
Terms that moi has only picked up last week. =S

*-*-*

Slow....
The term pops up on a JR thread.
And the guys started rattling off who is slower.
Put a swift end to it.
Dun wish JR to be following in SGRunners footsteps.
