Running a Marathon

Running a marathon is no child's play.
Everyone should know it, but very few people actually heed the advice of training for the distance.

Manage to go for a run this evening and how I suffer.
My once-a-week run is really not helping.
I seems to be starting from Ground Zero every single time.
The warm up is the toughest.
Knees wanna to give way, heart going into overdrive.
But as usual, things started to felt better after 1 or 2km later.

The Kayanos felt like pounds of lead tied to my feet.
It gives you the cushioning and protection to last the distance, no doubt about that.
But it is really hard to fall in love with the shoes once you get used to a pair of racers.
How am I going to complete the distance with K14, I am not sure. But I will try.
Will I DNF? We will find out on December, 7th. I pray not.

Did the Yishun Ring Road route, but spent more time skipping around water puddles.
Runners are out in force today.
A number of runners are wearing the SCSM2007 singlet.
This scene has always been replaying for weeks leading up to Army Half Marathon and SCSM.
People only start training a month before the major running events.
Somehow the message of LSDs has not reached the majority of the running community.

i can start the 1st few kms with you if u need some morale support =)

racers are light but really that good for a marathon. we're not pro runners with good strides.. so it's safer to wear something with decent support and cushioning. it'll save our legs and knees for more marathons in years to come =)
