Frustrating!!!

After noticing that my headlight is getting dim, I took out the battery and replace it with a new one.
Guess what? The 6-month old Cateye Uno died on me.

Year on year, I have tried to curtail my spendings on Sports.
I have categorised them into Race Costs and Shopping Lists.
Without fail, both categories will run into the thousand(s).
Doing sports is really expensive.

Buying sporting equipment is always like playing roulette.
Buy a popular model and you risk it
1) being stolen. (Cateye Strada Wireless(es))
2) being disappointing, cos it does not suit your needs. (Polar CS100 CAD)

I find it ridiculous to pay $90 for a small gadget aka Garmin GSC-10, thus it did not appear in my radar earlier.
Instead I opt for Polar CS100 CAD which costs double the price but come with a Cyclometer, a separate speed and cadence sensors.

What Garmin had failed to tell me is that good things can comes in small packages.
Garmin GSC-10 has an integrated Speed-Cadence Sensor!

For headlights and tail lights, I chose Cateye cos they are the most popular, and to most riders the most reliable.
Somehow Cateye does not live to it promises.
I am into my second sets of headlights and tail lights.
Tried out Knog Frog and Gekko, but due to Cerv-One aero seatpost and my rear hydration system, mounting it proves to be a challenge.

As careful as you tried to be with your purchases, it always prove to be futile.
Either you love it or loathe it.
Will be good if we have a trial period for our purchases. =p

The saddest part of the entire experience is that all the failed purchases does not come cheap... =(

Switch to 100% swimming. It's the cheapest. Just a trunk and goggle:)
