42.195......

A magical number.

But I guess it will stay a mythical number for a longer time than I have expected.

Been thinking about the year end marathon for 2 weeks and I still cannot convince myself that I will sign up for the full distance when the time comes.

Throw me a OD Biathlon, OD Triathlon even a Half-Ironman, I won't hesitate to sign up.
I will probably give MR25 Ultra-Marathon a shot.

So what is wrong?

Why not target 42.195km in 2009 Sundown Marathon (if still on). You got 7 hours from midnight w/out having to face the sun and by the time the sun is up, you're either done or almost done :)

you lack confidence in running. The only way to deal with it, is to head on and work hard on it.

Obviously some of us are in a different league.
Now, I can imagine if jodan had the actual body and heart of tigger, jodan would have conquered a few IM by now :)
Some of us have physical challenges. We cannot do what some others can and should not try. We don't want to end up 'dead' after a run or event. TLR just posted a reminder on this after an 18 year old just collapsed and then died after a 2.4km run during BMT (quite unbelievable).
Jodan, set your own targets. Challenge yourself! Don't let others dictate your goals.
